Abstract:

Supranationals Special Edition 2014 includes comparative data for 19 supranational institutions with public ratings assigned by Standard&Poor's Ratings Services. Balance sheet, off-balance sheet, and income statement items for these supranationals address size and profitability, while the ratios address capital adequacy, credit quality and loss provisioning, leverage, liquidity, and profitability. The data are compiled from the institutions' annual reports, supplemented in some cases by additional information provided directly by the institutions to Standard&Poor's. All of the data used to calculate these numbers, except that used to calculate the risk-adjusted capital (RAC) ratio, static funding gap ratio, and exposure to/in the five countries of largest exposure, are in the tables accompanying each institution's summary.
